What we do at 204ACU!

What is Army Cadets?

At 204 Army Cadet Unit, we follow the doctrine of the AAC. The Australian Army Cadets is a personal development program for young people, conducted by the Australian Army in cooperation with the community, which is designed to benefit the nation by developing the individual, their community and the Australian Army. The Australian Army Cadets adopts the values of the Australian Army - Courage, Initiative and Teamwork - to empower youth to achieve their potential.

The aim of the AAC is:
  • To develop an interest in the Army and its traditions

  • To encourage cadets to continue military or community service

  • To give cadets a foundation of military knowledge and discipline

  • To develop qualities of leadership, self discipline, self reliance and initiative

  • To provide training that may contribute to Army common induction training.

As part of their training cadets learn:
  • Drill

  • First Aid

  • Navigation

  • How to use a radio

  • How to live in the field

  • Weapons discipline

  • And alot more!
